Gazza: the myths and the man by Aaron› 28 May 2012

Continuing our celebrations of the English icon that is Paul Gascoigne, this week we’re looking at some of the incredible stories that have helped to make him the Gazza that we all know and love. Over the course of the next five days, we’re going to reveal some of the answers that Gazza gave after we quizzed him on some of the most outrageous myths we’d heard about him. Needless to say they’re almost all true!

Today Gazza is giving us the lowdown on two questions:

Did he, an hour after playing for England, meet up with Chris Evans and Danny Baker in a pub still wearing your kit?

And…

Did he bet Jimmy ‘Five Bellies’ £1000 he couldn’t stand the heat of a lighter on his nose for 5 seconds?
