Over the weekend, various Umbro teams added silverware to their trophy cabinets. Here's a quick look at those victories.
Manchester City lifted their first trophy in 35 years after a 1 – 0 victory over Stoke City in the FA Cup final at Wembley Stadium on Saturday. The victorious City have also secured their place in next year’s Champions League finals and are set for no less than a top four finish in the English Premier league this year.
Glasgow Rangers FC won the 2010/2011 Scottish Premier League thrashing Kilmarnock 5-1 to secure their 54th Scottish title.
Current League of Ireland title holders Shamrock Rovers beat Dundalk FC 2-0 to win the Setanta Cup. This All Ireland crown is the Rovers first piece of silverware for 2011. At present, the Shamrock Rovers currently sit at the top of the LOI Premier Division table.
In France, Lille edged out PSG 1-0 to lift their first major trophy since 1955. Four points ahead of Olympique de Marseille, Lille continue their quest for the Ligue 1 crown at home to FC Sochaux-Montbéliard on Wednesday.
And over in Brazil, Santos outclassed the Corinthians 2-1 to lift the Campeonato Paulista trophy for the 19th time, marking two consecutive victories in the championship.
