Show Your City: MCFC reach the peak to reveal the new home jersey by Aaron› 13 Jul 2012

Where better to unveil the new home shirt for the Premier League champions than at the highest point in the country? That’s the thinking behind the latest winner for the Show Your City competition, a challenge from Umbro and Manchester City to the club’s fans to come up with great ideas for their kit launches. Richard Jones of Manchester is the man behind this great idea, which saw him scale the 978 metres of Scafell Pike in the Lake District before revealing his new Manchester City 2012 home jersey. We’ve heard of football fans taking their passion to new heights, but this is just ridiculous!

In the video above, you can see Richard talking about his love for Manchester City before setting out on his trek to the top of Scafell, and some of the beautiful views that surround it.
