An energetic midfielder with an eye for a pass, Jordan Henderson has been hotly tipped as a future England star ever since he appeared on the fringes of the Sunderland first team. Becoming a key part of the club's squad in the 2010/11 season, Henderson chipped in with some great performances, plenty of assists and a clutch of goals as he caught the eye of fans up and down the country.

He also attracted the attentions of England boss Fabio Capello, who called Henderson away from the U21s to make his full debut in the friendly against France in November 2010. Since then, Henderson's career has gone into overdrive, a big move to Liverpool in the summer of 2011 pushing him further into the spotlight. 2011/12 will be a big season for Henderson, as he aims to make his mark in the Merseyside midfield and cement his place in the England squad.
