Umbro Italy have joined forces with cultural institution Slam Jam to drop a seriously drippy capsule collection for Spring/ Summer ’23.
Founded by Luca Benini in 1989, Slam Jam have championed the underground long before the term streetwear even existed, connecting tribes of like-minded people across the World. Today it uses its credibility and experience within this community to globally promote the style and attitudes of subculture.
For Spring/Summer ’23, the collection is rich in terrace culture and takes inspiration from those truly unique moments that take place on the pitch from penalties and wins to losses that unite both team and fans.
“Penalty Culture” draws from football’s influence on the everyday lives and the community of people who follow it. The ethos is reflected within the collection through match day essentials including denim trousers, knitwear, and shirts complementing more classic pieces such as hoodies, polos and tracksuits.
