WE ARE THE ONE
Revealed in a video celebrating the unique energy and culture of the Caribbean nation, we’re excited to unveil the new Jamaica home and away kits.
The first fruits of our partnership with the Jamaica Football Federation, the new kits are featured on a group of male and female players for the national team, plus a group of Jamaica citizens captured in their natural surroundings in Kingston, Jamaica.
Alongside the imagery, the video also features a specially commissioned poem entitled ‘We Are The One’, which explores how football has helped to forge the spirit of the Jamaican people in the face of struggle and hardship. The poem was composed by Jamaican writers Darryl Roberts, Joel Moder and Jeremy Moder, while the imagery was captured by Jamaican photographers Ben Solomon and William Richards.
The new home kit is in Jamaica’s traditional vibrant yellow colour, with striking black, green and yellow taping on the sleeves inspired by the Umbro logo and the country’s iconic flag. A subtle embossed graphic features on the body of the shirt, inspired by the palm trees that line the Jamaican coastline.
The away shirt is certainly eye-catching, with a vivid graphic on the body inspired by the energy of Jamaican culture, the colours of the nation and Umbro’s timeless diamond logo. The black shirt also features a tonal taping design on the sleeves and on the accompanying yellow shorts.
The new kits will be worn by the JFF in two games this week – the away kit worn for a friendly in New York against Ecuador on September 7th, while the home will be debuted in the Nations League fixture against the Cayman Islands on 9th September.
