As one of the oldest clubs in Germany, FCN is more than just a team for their die-hard fanbase. It’s a lifestyle. And so, with that in mind, Nürnberg today unveil their new third kit, tailored for life on and off the pitch.
With a true commitment to tradition, Der Club, is a side for whom each new home and away kit has to abide by a set of stylistic rules, upholding that the playing uniform is to be a manifestation of FCN’s powerful footballing identity. However, with the advent of the third kit, the Bavarian giants are able to compliment their consistently sleek staple strips, with an alternative that also encapsulates life beyond the pitch: a design that represents the vibrant, contemporary FCN community.
With years of experience, and a history of setting trends in the dual worlds of both casual and performance sportswear, Umbro designers have been able to truly play to their strengths, with a kit that celebrates the intersection of street of pitch. Utilising a ‘shattered diamond’ design that touches on the on-trend aesthetic of 90s revival, the jersey features a contrasting matte / shine front torso graphic, in a tonal grey, elevated with charcoal-black hem panels, a full-colour woven logo and a bespoke rear-neck sign off.
The carbonite colour-theme is continued through the shorts and socks, both of which are accented with deep-black colour panels. A vibrant, full-colour FCN logo provides a flash of burgundy on the shorts, which also feature internal draw-cords and an elasticated waistband. The socks are designed with a cotton footbed and ‘cool-zone’ technology on the instep, with ‘Club’ wording on the rear-calf, in tribute to the Der Club.
The new third kit will be on-sale at umbro.de and in select retail locations from Friday 19th July.
